Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, skilful and practical person to be recruited in the position of debt collection officer in our debt collection and recoveries department who will get in touch with debtors in Cyprus to claim outstanding debts to their creditors (financial institutions, etc.). The person will be responsible for bulk communication with many debtors, daily, by telephone, and the implementation of standard procedures for recovering the due money in the shortest time.

A successful dept collection officer is required to have very good communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills and be a results-oriented professional who will be able to perform in a dynamic and intense environment of tight schedules. Job Role

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan workload to achieve the targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Organize daily phone calls to recover outstanding debt payments
  • Telephone presentation and explanation to debtors of standard repayment programs
  • Negotiating payment deadlines or payment plans
  • Addressing queries or complaints
  • Monitor agreed repayment schedules
  • Monitor and report performance in achieving targets and KPIs
  • Regular review of processes and identification of areas for improvement

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Basic knowledge of financial issues and functions
  • Past work experience of at least 1 year in the services or other related industry
  • Very good knowledge of computers (MS Office)
